To maintain the level of scouting we offer your children we need to have a huge focus on fundraising. Monthly bills for the hall cost £450. This year we will set out our dates for various fundraising events and inform you of them shortly. A huge thanks to all who helped and supported the Christmas fayre. We managed to raise £829.70. This was a great effort by all leaders & we would like to thank everyone for their donations & all who attended. Recently we where informed that we where successful in obtaining the RBS grant of £6,000.00. Thank you to everyone that took time to vote. The funds will be put to great use as we intend to upgrade the heating system in the scout hall. Work for this will begin in February/march. Every Christmas the scouts take part in bag packing at Iceland Coatbridge. The amount raised this time was £1251.70. This is always a great start to the bills for the new year.

Each year every member of the scouting association need to pay capitation fees. This is an annual registration and insurance for you child. All leaders and children of the group need to pay this. This years fee is £25 each (£45 if you have 2 children in the group). The deadline for payments is 28th February. See you child's section leader if you would prefer to pay in weekly instalments.

2CB Scouts – Review of 2011 & Awards 10 camps away in 2011 where each scout could achieve 16 night away, camps included Millport, Barrwood, Corehouse and Coltswood to name a few!! The scout section had a combined nights away of 224, the highest in 4 years!! See full article for the list of winners
